I'm tired of losing good soldiers and Marines trying to civilize these barbarians. The lives of every man, woman, child, and dog in that gods-forsaken country aren't worth the life of a single Marine private.
If there weren't oil there, we'd have ignored the whole region--and Hussien--as thorougly as we did Pol Pot. So let's clamber down off the moral high horse and do what needs to be done. Before more Americans die pointlessly.
Wow, I have to agree with Mr. J. To the point and a straight shooter. Our forces have been there long enough. Let the newly formed Iraqi government squash it's own rebellion or die trying. When a victor rises from the ashes then our Govt. can try to form diplomatic relations with whomever is in power. Finally, before we pull out all forces we should take $500 billion in oil to cover our costs for liberating the barbarians.
