Needless to say anything that is cooked up in the minds of French politicians is ludicrous. Just the words French politician leaves me in stitches.

There was a great line from a comedy, Johnny English with Rowan Atkinson playing a bumbling spy.
"The only thing that France is adept at hosting is an invasion."
Great commentary can be found in some of the most ludicrous places.
History is also a great judge of the French. Read anything about WWII and anyone can uncover what a tyrannical primadonna Charles De Gaulle was. Churchill and Ike despised having to deal with the ass.
