Hey dude that's my symbolic turf......

Providing an example of the harm that may be done through symbolic gentrification, Halnon cited Wooden and Blazak’s study of San Francisco gutter punks who took drastic measures to defend against "frat boys and pro athletes" who invaded their "symbolic turf" by appropriating body piercing as a style. One group of gutter-punks responded by cutting off their pinky fingers.

Why stop with the pinky fingers? A quote from the famous author Jar(egg)head "cut along the veins not across" fits here, and then you could have another type of turf...... cemetery turf 6 feet above your head. But wait, the last time I checked there were other people there too, so much for being unique.

UN to tax your gas.

That is correct the UNorganized are slowly but surely limping along with taxing the planet to death. Yeah, go ahead and laugh, remember the airline tax in Europe? Ole Kofi and his French poodle lapdog Chirac are behind the push for that tax.

Death before dishonor.

Rep. John Murtha appeared on Hardball last night and made an obscene claim, he said that our Marines “killed civilians” in Iraq. This remark was followed by yet another reprehensible statement; Chris Matthews questioned if what Murtha was talking about like My Lai, to which the Congressman said that was “exactly it”.

As far as the incident is concerned, much of it seems to be based on one 9 year old’s version of events. One paragraph of the original Time piece sticks out:

According to Eman, the Marines then entered the living room. “I couldn’t see their faces very well—only their guns sticking into the doorway. I watched them shoot my grandfather, first in the chest and then in the head. Then they killed my granny.” She claims the troops started firing toward the corner of the room where she and her younger brother Abdul Rahman, 8, were hiding; the other adults shielded the children from the bullets but died in the process. Eman says her leg was hit by a piece of metal and Abdul Rahman was shot near his shoulder. “We were lying there, bleeding, and it hurt so much. Afterward, some Iraqi soldiers came. They carried us in their arms. I was crying, shouting ‘Why did you do this to our family?’ And one Iraqi soldier tells me, ‘We didn’t do it. The Americans did.

So let me get this straight? She couldn’t see the faces of the Marines, and then initially thought the Iraqi soldiers had done it, until told by them that it was the Americans.

It smells. For a WHOLE squad to snap would mean at least 13 individual Marines would have needed to be involved. But unlike Murtha I will not jump to conclusions and attempt to proclaim anyone innocent or guilty. There are other statements in the article that are susupect also. But I am too lazy to day to point them out , so go read the article and come to your own conclusion.

Someday Murtha the POS that he is will be facing Chesty Puller one on one; and I will be ringside for that one.

A new Immigration Plan that will work!

“I have a plan for immigration. Allow every Mexican in. Make them join the military. Then invade Mexico and don’t have an exit strategy.”

DaimlerChrysler = American nothing?

I am not a fan of American built automobiles, it's not that I am Anti-American, but the products that the US automakers produce are a joke in comparison with foreign automakers. Even DaimlerChrysler has decided take advantage of both the lame automobiles and the Anti American sentiment overseas.

It would appear that this maybe a part of their new "Global Image Campaign" ?

Teachers or the UN who is worse?

******UPDATE*******

Michelle Malklin and Vent have a nice little clip about the UN.

******UPDATE*******

Why is it that whenever the UN sends "peacekeepers" who aren't part of NATO forces, you hear about child sex camps, pedophilia, rape, drug running, and all manner of illegal activities?

Al-Qaeda states US winning the war.

The actual war that is and not the media war, according to documents obtained during raids in Iraq. Powerline has the write-up on them here.

C4 for all

For the pyrotechnic in all of us....ok me. This site has a few of the implosion clips. Make sure to check out the demo in Newfoundland.

I'll take my ballot in English please......

Policy analysts said the focus on bilingual ballots illustrated a hardening of positions within the GOP......

That's right its all the GOP fault once again, not that 52% of Americans believe that the criminals should not receive a free pass (read "Amnesty") in the US. Or could it be that maybe just maybe the GOP is starting to listen to their constituents! Well, ok except McCain, I think he has been hitting Kennedy’s liquor cabinet.

Border patrol, who do they really work for?

If you are in close proximity of fellow co workers that you are not fond of or anything that can be used as a projectile please refrain from reading this!

Ecofriendly Terrorists

Terrorism- The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

This definition according to the Seattle Times and a PNW judge is incorrect if you are a eco terrorist tree hugging hippie who just happens to set a few fires and no one gets hurt!

U.S. District Court Judge James Redden told a federal prosecutor not to use the word "terrorist" in the trial of Jacob Sherman, an Oregon man inspired by ELF to set fire to three logging trucks.

It would appear that I am clueless on how such acts are not terrorist acts. Call me dumb….

Sleep well America, Mexico has our back.

*wink wink*

They previously were arrested in Mexico carrying Greek passports and were held for a month for entering Mexico illegally.

Mexican authorities reportedly released the men, however, and told them to "go north."

And in the I told you so category, Fox is on crack. Ole' Fox of Mexico passed a law allowing everyone to have a personal stash of their drug of choice. Ok, one of my two readers might think this is a good idea. Just remember this next time you take a vacation in that third world country. I am pretty sure you will get a warm and fuzzy knowing your cabbie is high as a kite.
